I know I haven't been on here for a while, and I'm so sorry that 'with a heavy heart' my first post back is to let you all know the sad news that Elfed Morris passed away today.
My deepest sympathies to his family and extended family at Colwyn Bay FC.

Dave Challinor has texted me to ask if his condolences could be passed on to all concern.
Jon Newby has also emailed me to say the same and added: "I had a lot of time for him and always had a chat with him before and after the home games despite the result. A lovely man who will be missed by a lot of people."

So sorry to hear this news, spent many a long and happy hour, particularly during the Summer months when the ground is a lovely place to be, helping, though probably hindering Elfed.  We talked about everything from football to music from Elvis on, very knowledgeable about both.  On a match day there weren't many people I would seek to hear their opinion, Elfed was definitely top of that list.  I'm going to miss him.  Great man, God bless you Elfed.  Nice to see the Chester fans paying their respects, I'm sure his family appreciate that.

The club are to hold a minute's applause in memory of Elfed before the FA Trophy game against Altrincham next week. Chairman Davew Messom is calling for a good turn out of fans to honour one of the club's all time greats.

I now have details for Elfed's funeral which is to be next Thursday, November 14th.
His coffin will be taken to the ground at 2pm where the club chaplain Philip Atack will be in attendance. It wil then leave the ground at 2.15pm for Colwyn Bay crematorium for the service at 2.45pm
After the service there will be a buffet at the club lounge back at the ground.
The family have asked that any donations be made to Colwyn Bay Football Club - a wonderful gesture by the family to the club Elfed loved.
